I'm all for using Mylex. If you follow the list, you might have seen that
the _only_ reason I decided to give Adaptec a try is that Mylex doesn't
appear to be capable of shipping products. None of the resellers we use
have had their stuff in stock for a while, and I'm still waiting for the
low profile 170 to really exist.
As an added bonus, these new Adaptec cards are cheaper than ExtremeRAID's
and much faster than AcceleRAIDs. I don't have an ExtremeRAID to compare
their performance to. I've been trying to get one for a few months.
