Software RAID and Journaling FileSystems

Hi, I couldn't find this question in the FAQ so I ask it here.

I know Journaling FS (ext3, reiserfs etc) has problem in kernel 2.2, but I also
saw somewhere (can't remember where) that this is fixed in the 2.4 kernel - is
it true?
