I don't mean to start another holy war, but I've been looking for
information on using the FastTrak66 [pseudo-]hardware raid controller
with _any_ flavor of Linux for about 20 total hrs now and have yet to
find a satisfying answer.
I realise that this is not the best card to use, blah, blah, blah. The
problem I have is this: I already have one of these cards w/ 2 - 20Gb
Seagate drives on it. The RAID0 worked fine under M$Windoze, and is
almost full with data I'd rather not lose. Windoze took a nose-dive
(surprised? :) and now I can't get at that raid. Is there _any_ way to
get the information off these drives w/o having to deal with any M$
products?
I have no objection to using software raid, I just need to get this
information off first. I found the driver for RH6.2/7.0 on the Promise
site, but that led exactly nowhere. _Any_ help would be greatly
appreciated...
