Good question, actually I don't know what the original chunksize was
prior
to changing raidtab & running "mkraid --upgrade", I suppose whatever the
original default value was. The new raidtab has this value set to 32.
However, at one point I admit having set the chunksize to 1024, but I
can't
remember if it was for this md device or not, in any case all 3 of my md
raid 1
devices failed after the upgrade. If U want I could go back to the
"old" way of
doing things and go thru the whole procedure again, but there is no
guarantee that
I can get the same errors. ;-)
So how does one change the chunksize in the superblock?
Any idea if/when your patch will be incorporated in to the mainstream
kernel(s)?
Also, raidtools comes with raid[1/4/5].conf sample files, are these
needed any more? Just /etc/raidtab ? /etc/mdtab is no longer needed?
Was the 1108 release of raid0145 to fix a problem with 1106? ie, the
severely
messed up attempt to auto start raid and multiple identical md entries
in /proc/mdstat.
If not I'll send U a copy of /proc/mdstat before going back to 1005.
