No, that's just a printk() line in the source code to check something
benign that shouldn't happen but does. Grep the sources if you care to
know exactly what's going on.
I basically gather that you're regressing from a persistent- to a
nonpersistent-superblock type RAID. I did this sometime ago, and the way
I got things to work is by using the older raidadd-type commands if you
want to restart/stop nonpersistent-superblock type RAID after the system
is booted.
I believe the official stance is to discourage use of
nonpersistent-superblocks in the latest RAID drivers, so the best bet is
to use older versions. Or you could do what I did, which is to hack the
sources (hooray for OpenSource!) into something you're happy with. The
reason I did this is because I want the functionality of scsidev for my
RAID drives so autostart is no good for me. I have this hacked piece of
magic called "raidlaunch -a" to start all non-root volumes in rc.sysinit.
