DPT has never released a driver for Linux before. The previous DPT
driver was written by a 3rd party.

I'm personally alarmed that the eata-dma driver in Linux 2.2.x seems to
have rotted so badly, that it doesn't work the last time I checked. Don't
know whether it has been fixed, or whether it will be fixed.
