Our setup:
AMD K6/200 on VIA Apollo (AOpen)
Promise UltraATA/33 IDE
4xIBM Deskstar 16,4GB
One disk on each separate channel (one is shared with the / disk) raid-0
with 2.1.127 (raidtools 0.50)
I don't have Bonnie stats available right now, but it was very nice,
about 25MB/s.
The box does streaming (~12kb/s, take your best guess ;-) to a large
number of clients, sometimes upto about 100 (Samba & NFS). I've never
seen more than 30-40% CPU usage.
Works much better than we hoped, and it was dead cheap.
