I am running the 'old' raid with 0.42 tools. There is a single root raid
device with the entire OS on it. I've used this configuration with raid 1
and raid 5 and currently have both scsi and ide raid 5 systems in
production for about 1 1/2 year now. The swap is not on raid, I will be
doing that when I move these systems to the newer raid and 2.2x kernels.
