oops... yeah...didn't read the entire raid config file...
be curious to stick a disk in there and create a bootable hard disk
and see if anything else is hanging it...
and/or use the boot/rescue or boot/root floppy disks and see if the hardware
itself hangs or completes shutdown
I used to have the same
problem with rh-5.0 that the system would hang...but using a different
distribution ( rh-5.1? ) fixed it... or maybe a hardware change ? moved things around
