Hi!
We have a problem with raid drive backup. We are using Amanda 2.3.0.
Here is mdtab entry:
-----------------------------------------------------------
# mdtab entry for /dev/md0
/dev/md0 raid0,8k,0,cc9908c5 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1
-----------------------------------------------------------
Here is my test for backup.
---------------------------------------------------------
/sbin/dump 1sf 100000 - /dev/md0 > /dev/null
DUMP: Date of this level 1 dump: Fri May 21 16:24:04 1999
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: Fri May 21 08:11:43 1999
DUMP: Dumping /dev/sda2 (/) to standard output
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
/dev/sda2: Not a directory while mapping files in dev/md0
----------------------------------------------------------
What I don't understand is why dump tries /dev/sda2, NOT /dev/md0 as I
specified.
The system is linux 2.0.36.

Could somebody give me a hint how to back up software raid file system?

Thanks,

Heechul
