There has been talk of it since before 2.2 was released, but since Redhat
appears to include the patches in 6.0 it did look promising...

Also, Linus is encouraging people to develop stuff independantly of the
main kernel tree and if that means that they have no chance of being
integrated until the next major release 2.5 years down the road then
that's not going to be popular....

On the other hand, if the release cycle is to speed up like Linus wants,
then we could have 2.4 early next year and hopefully there's a chance of
integrating stuff for 2.4. If that's before Windows 2000 appears than we
get a lot of qdos(sp)!

I'm not asking people to rush the code, quite the opposite, and it's
really nice to see people with the skills devoting so mich time to further
Linux. I believe that Ingo works for Redhat, which probably explains the
inclusion of this in RH 6.0..... What I'm really looking for here is an
idea from somone who knows, what the "road map" (For want of a better
expression) is so that I can plan some installations....

Sometimes you're ahead, somtimes you're behind.
The race is long, and in the end it's only with yourself.
