Try updating your firmware, it may help

4.06-0-08 is the latest supported firmware for the DAC960PG.
4.07 is only for the AcceleRAIDs.
5.07 is only for the eXtremeRAIDs.
The DAC960PG is quite old at this point and not nearly a performance match for
Quantum Atlas IV drives. I'd be interested in seeing numbers for an AcceleRAID
150 with 16MB or an eXtremeRAID in a similar configuration.
