Hi all
I'm presently experimenting with software RAID5 and I am running into a
little problem. I cannot run mkraid on a md device that has allready had
mkraid run on it. mkraid comes back with the following message

handling MD device /dev/md0
analyzing super-block
disk 0: /dev/sda1, 2610531kB, raid superblock at 2610432kB
/dev/sda1 appears to be already part of a raid array -- use -f to
force the destruction of the old superblock
mkraid: aborted, see the syslog and /proc/mdstat for potential clues.

Using -f, --force is of no help. I am successful at running mkraid if I
add the following line to my raidtab file (which I would like to avoid)

persistent-superblock 0

Is there any way to destroy and re-create the array (there isn't any
data to be worried about) without having to make this change to my raidtab
file?

Thanks.
