System is a dual-cpu PII 450Mhz with 256MB RAM.
Disks are configured with chunk-size of 32kb (ext2 block-size is 4kb).

Yes.  See above.

I am using UDMA66.  When testing against UDMA33, I found a 10-15% speed
difference.  To get that speed increase you must have the UDMA66
cables...
