Isn't the Compaq cpfc driver just a version of the Qlogic FC driver?

The Compaq cpqfc driver (Fibre Channel) uses the new error handler code.
This
comes with Red Hat 7.0 and you can get it from the Compaq web site. After a
couple of tweaks it seems to be working quite well. I believe Compaq should
be updating their web site (either already or very soon with these tweaks).
I
have done a fair amount of testing on it both from a single system as well
as
in a cluster. Note that there were only a couple of tweaks needed related
to
the new error handler and those were primarily dealing initialization
differences between the new and old error handler. All of the changes were
done to the cpqfc driver with none needed for the new error handler.
The new Adaptec driver (from Justin Gibbs) which is still in "beta" also
uses
the new error handler. I have only played with that a small amount but
seems
to be doing well so far.
It is true that the number using the new error handler is small but it is
growing!
