We are running a "QLogic ISP1020 rev 05" SCSI card connected to a Clariion / DG storage array. The card is using the 2.4.1 version of the qlogicisp driver. It appeared from a SCSI trace that sense data was being requested, but not making it back out of the driver / card during an autosense. The sense not coming back was causing the system to get stuck in a loop during probe of this device (the storage box is configured for failover so all luns are not fully accessible). During the debug of the problem we switched to a qlogicisp driver provided by feral and the problem went away. We verified that the autosense data was making it back with this driver. Should we spend time understanding why the autosense was not working on the 2.4.1 driver or is this driver deprecated by the feral driver.
