If you use SCSI Write Buffer to load firmware, and you screw it
up (maybe there's a system glitch; maybe you select the wrong
file; maybe the new program just has a bug), is the device a
paperweight? Is there some immutable function left to allow
you to load correct firmware? Does the device do any sanity
checking on the new program before wiping out the old one?

I realize this is probably not an issue of SCSI standards, so I'm
just asking about conventions.
