Hi!
I dont have access to any descriptive docs, but I do have a question
regarding the NCR 53C400.
Im neither a hardware-expert (though I have 10 years experience as a
hobbyist in the field), nor a dedicated programmer, therefore this
possibly unsuitable question.
Ive successfully compiled support for a NCR 53C400 card into my old
AMD 80486-based system at home and attached a ZIP100+ unit to the bus.
The drive performes a bit sluggish, but otherwise reasonable. :-)
However, The card has its default interrupt setting at 3, which isnt
quite in my taste. Changing it to 5 seems sound since there is an
assigned jumperset for this on the board, but the card wont initialize
correctly when booting the system. Instead it hangs in and endless loop
of bus resets. Is there a simple explanation for this? :_)
