But this wasn't the error. But it works with my other (older) CD-ROMs
perfectly. So I guess it is an small error of the driver. As you can see
the new DVD ROM uses the scsi3-mmc command set. Maybe the can be the
source of the problem.

Moreover, even if Linux reads ahead and gets into an error, the driver
should read all sectors and do not discard some because it could not read
ahead without error. Logical... ;-)

All I want is somebody to test it with his CD-ROM (or better: DVD-ROM) to
confirm or disprove the error.
