Greetings,

I have a machine with both an AHA 2940 and an AHA 152x in there (because
doing so was/is the easiest way to solve some termination and cabling
problems). Things have worked like this for some years now and do so
up to 2.3.5 at least.

With 2.3.15, modified to make it find the AHA2940 first, I find that
the following happens when I configure the kernel to support the 152x:

 1. The AHA 152x is not found. I traced this to the fact that the
setup_aha152x() function apparently is not getting called, so my
command line settings are being ignored. Question: were's the bug?

 2. The AHA2940 is found, but unable to see the disk attached to it.
It works fine if the 152x driver is configured out. Question: Why
does the presence of the 152x driver influence the behaviour of
    the aic7xxx one?

Both drivers are compiled into the kernel, not as modules.

Thanks in advance,

        MCE

PS: Please cc replies directly to me, as I'm not on the linux-scsi list.
