That doesn't really help. I've got a couple of questions for you:
1) Where exactly does it lock up (Any partial logs of that point
(/var/log/messages) would help)
2) What devices do you have on the bus. (Yamaha 4416 CD Writer
has some serious problems. You need a bios upgrade from
Initio to fix that)
3) Is the SCSI chain correctly terminated? The driver doesn't really
handle that too well, it mostly lets the bios handle that.
