Interesting.
What package owns this file? My Mandrake 7.2 install claims no packages
own /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/r128_drv.o
If I grab a RH7.0 RPM, which one should I get?
I am getting fed up trying to rebuild the MDK 7.2-cooker SRPMS from
scratch (seems I have problems installing the Glide RPMS, which are
needed for a compile).
Hm, any help appreciated!

Pseudocolor has its uses. The color lookup table makes blinking easy.
It might also be useful for false color imaging. Also there were some
cute tricks
one could play with it and keep bandwidth requirements modest.

Doing this through a CGI would give you a tighter conrol.
The CGI can redirect the user to appropriate url after looking at the source
IP address.

- I had guessed the same thing. Any other thing I should check? (The target
parition is /dev/hdb7). Dont sweat about this - because the basic problem
that I started with has been solved. I could successfully mount the windows
FAT32 partition on the linux. I basically needed a way to download files on
my win98 internet connection and then access from linux.

Try removing the "," between the 0 and 30.
Try a space or tab instead of ",".

Dong. You are not right. The syntax is just fine.

No, don't. The problem is with webalizer and/the environment you are
giving it from cron. The crontab entry is fine. Having five time fields
is correct. They are minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week.

I have just the opposite issue. I compiled a customized RH7 2.2.17-14
kernel with nfs disabled. My kernel boots perfectly except that some
script somewhere is trying to start rpc.lockd and nfslock.
I spent over an hour last night scouring my /etc dir trying to find
the culprit with no luck.
If someone could tell me where to disable the call I'd be most
appreciative.

I have an inexpensive Creative Soundblaster 16 PCI running w/Red Hat
7.0 and Yamaha YSTM-50 (2 speakers woofer) but am unable to adjust

Would it become possible if I moved up to a Soundblaster live card?
None of the 5 or so (including aumix) mixers in KDE or Gnome provide
bass or treble controls.
Any comments would be most welcome.

hda5-1x are logical partitions in an extended primary partition.

Subject: Boot problem??
Date: Fri, 16 Feb 2001 19:02:21 +0000
I am using Mandrake 7.2 and it seems to work well. I can shutdown or
reboot into Windows and then back again and everything works fine.I
can boot up and shut down several times and then apparently without
doing anything different Mandrake will not boot.
I get the following message
"unable to open initial console
kernel panic: no init found
try passing init = option to kernel"
I have ended up reinstalling Mandrake 3 times because I could not
fathom out what to do
It has happened again.
Any suggestions please (nice ones)
Many thanks
Jim

Date: Fri, 16 Feb 2001 19:08:50 +0000 (UTC)
We just installed RedHat 6.1on DELL PC. Every time while we "telnet"
from other computer into this LINUX server, we have following proble:
%telnet 192.9.204.201
Trying 192.9.204.201...
Connected to 192.9.204.201.

No matter which password I type, it make NO difference and their has NO userID
for me to type. Sometime the following screen will come out(don't know why) and
I can login without problem:
Red Hat Linux release 6.1 (Cartman)
Kernel 2.2.12-20 on an i686
login:
Their also have another problem. If I lucky "telnet" into this server and did not
touch this "telnet" session for 5 minutes, it will automatic disconnect. Does
their has way to fix?
Thanks
