Rekan Linux hari sabtu dan minggu kemarin dd 03/02/2001 & 04/02/2001 seharian
saya (Saya beginner di Linux nich) coba install OS (operating System) Mandrake
7.1 ke pc (Compaq Presario 4712) dg spesifikasi :
Processor : Intel 233 MMX
RAM : 128 MB Edo
Hardisk 1: 2.5 Gb Quantum Fireball (Reserved by Linux OS)
Hardisk 2: 7.1 Gb Quantum Fireball (Reserved by Ms Win ME+Ms-Application)
Sound Card : Creative soundblaster Live Player
VGA Card : Creative 3D Blaster Riva TNT 2 M64 32 Mb (card ini compatible ngga
kira 2x dg Mandrake 7.1)
Monitor : Sony Trinitron Multiscan 20se (20 Inch)
Speaker : Philips DDS 330 Multi surround ( USB Port ready)
Dengan hasil Os win-me saya hilang (dan harus saya install ulang lagi ) trus u/
Os Mandrake 7.1nya sendiri bisa jalan tapi saya harus melihat menu login root#
.....(black screen / sama dg menu ms-dos prompt), (persis menunya di unix
system). Please be adviced donk Dokter. Yang sepertinya menu GUI (KDE/Gnomenya
tidak berfungsi). Sudah semua opsi vga dan monitor yang sesuai dg. spesifikasi
diatas saya coba tapi hasil test selalu gagal. Kira 2x salahnya dimana yach ?
Gimana cara install yang benar, kemudian biasanya berapa lama sich proses
instalasi osnya ( Proses yang saya alami kok bisa sampai +/- 5 jam yach !).
Please help donk Rekan Linux.
