I don't think Alan was being narrow minded.  The purpose of this list is
to discuss SMP problems relative to 'linux' and not relative to the rest
of the world's operating systems.  While your question is interesting to
some, there are lists dedicated to discussing SMP hardware only, for
example.  If *all* the windows people start asking this question here,
the noise will be unbearable.

I didn't see him being ugly or brash.  Just asking you to take the
question to a more appropriate place.  We have enough traffic here from
time to time dealing only with SMP issues inside Linux.

As far as your question, all servers are good.  But which work with NT
is a different question from what gets answered here.  I wouldn't
recommend a machine based on how linux runs on it, and expect someone to
get the same performance with NT...
