Linux just can win. The experiences I made during my work for the other
bank (Commerzbank) which said ``NT, no matter what it costs'' (take that
verbose!) were so depressing. NT4 + sp3's IP stack is too fragile even for
workstation use. I got tons of calls from people asking why they could
loggon to ``my'' Suns or why their X Clients displayed on their NT X Server
die. Everybody complained about the poor Solaris systems - and everybody's
problem went away after rebooting NT ...
Compared with that a vanilla Linux installation out of the box is a HA
solution ...
