Hi, Tim!

After we all were trying to give you some informations of better
quality than what was "revealed" by this dumb NT-Magazine, I'd like
to know wether it had some impact on your pointy-haired boss.
I guess there are a few out here, which would like to know as well.

On the other hand, I'm happy to announce, that though here where I do
work (a big german bank) NT was pronounced as the "strategical solution
of the future" and there currently vast amounts of NT-freaks running
around here and trying desperately to keep their systems alive for
more than one week, there was a request from an internal technical
departement for "evaluating" Linux for use in the bank. We currently
do a lot of our work with Suns under Solaris, so there is great hope
for the UNIX fans here, that there is a chance to get NT kicked out
again. The odds are with us. The guys which have to do the "Evaluating"
are "pro-Linux" as well and even wanted to "evaluate" Linux, but didn't
dare to mention it, because the official saying was "NT, nothing else".
Now they have got the official order to evaluate Linux! :-))))))

I hope I can give you some more positive news after the evaluation is
done!

Best regards,

        Herbert
