I seem to be having problems with an HP Colorado 8 GB IDE tape under
2.1.125 SMP.  The MB is an ASUS P2L97DS, equipped with two PII 233s, my
system has one disk on the onboard 7888 SCSI, one disk on the first IDE,
and the tape drive on the second IDE. The symptoms are that the tar to
/dev/ht0 fails with an I/O error after about writing a GB or so, although
small writes seem to work fine. 

The drive and tapes are brand new. A full backup under 2.1.125 without SMP
but otherwise configured identically seems to have worked fine. Any ideas,
or suggestions as to where this should be reported?
