Hi all,

System:

- Dual PPro 300Mhz Intel
- Epox KP-6LS Motherboard
- Diamond AGP 4MB Viper v330
- 28k8 Modem
- Intel 10/100 NIC
- SoundBlaster AWE 64
- 128Mb SDRAM
- 6.4Gb Quantum Fireball EL

Software:

- Slackware 3.5 uptodate
- KDE 1.0, QT 1.40
- Kernel 2.0.35

Problem:

When i use the standard kernel from CD, with NO SMP everything works ok.
When i start to compile with the SMP=1 options and configured using the
FAQ on SMP and
all the related things on SMP, the message "IPI Not cleared after 10ms"
Scrolls over my
screen, and every virtual terminal i open. This happens randomly under
KDE, X or just in
Char-mode.

What i have done till now:

Replaced:
- Harddisk
- Motherboard (For the same type and brand)
- Memory (was 32, 32, 64. Is now 64,64 same brand, same moddelno's)
- Powersupply (was needed, cause kernel 2.0.34 kept on screwing up calls
to my HDD)

Reinstalled Linux:
Tried several Linux types. Slackware is the only one which gives me this
hassle

Till now i've tried everything which is in my reach to do. Who can help
me with the problem
"IPI Not cleared after 10 ms"?

Regards,

Niels Ammerlaan
