I have an older Symbios Controller running just fine in one of our SMP Servers.
/usr/src/linux-2.1.129/drivers/scsi/README.ncr53c8xx lists 876 as supported,
so this should be just fine.

Your configuration looks fine to me except that i would suggest 256MB
RAM (No RAM, no fun :-) and i personally would _never_ use a Quantum
hard disk for a Linux machine which should be up and running all the time.
