Keyboard problems w/2.0.35 SMP (RH 5.1)

I'm running X under RH 5.1 with kernel 2.0.35 SMP (Dell Poweredge 2200)
and from time to time, my keyboard becomes completely unresponsive.  I
tried restarting fvwm2, but to no avail.  I usually end up rebooting my
entire machine remotely.

This is probably not a kernel problem, but I would assume this is the
group to confirm that.
