Funny, i have the same problem with a Gigabyte GA686-LX2 Board. I
usually use Linus latest/greatest (2.1.130 SMP now) and i have rebootet
several times while in X and everything working except keyboard.

I found out, that i can cure it by unplugging the keyboard for a moment.
