Hello all,
I am looking for a motherboard to replace a dead P6DNF (dual PPro) and
am seriously considering the newer dual P2 boards from Supermicro. I've
had exteremly good luck with the P6DNF boards and am hoping that SM's
new dual-processor boards are just as stable with Linux.
Does anyone have a newer GX-based Supermicro board running Linux? I'm
not interested in the other models with built-in SCSI as I have a few
BT-958 adapters from my old board. As far as I know, the only
difference between the BX and GX chipsets is the support for >512MB RAM,
so GX boards should work fine. The P6DGE looks like a pretty good board
and is reasonably cheap. ~ $250 USD.
Thanks for any info or suggestions.
