yes. The SMP 'whitelist/blacklist' is fortunately a feature we could turn
off after fixing some initial bugs in the kernel's MP-table parser. It has
not been removed completely yet, but all signs are that we'll never need
it. The amount of BIOS bugs has been so small and in almost all cases
there were 'seemless' workarounds to fix them.
