Cool. I'm not doubting that there are nice things in 2.2.x
that aren't in 2.0.36.

There are (at least) two definitions of a heavy load: one
user trying to get something done and many users trying to
get lots of things done; the former applies to me.
2.2.5 is demonstrably worse than 2.0.36 at parallelizing
two-element pipes ("cmd1 | cmd2"). I think these are fairly
common and worth worrying about. My examples with gzip and
bzip2 were nothing more than simple illustrations of this
deficiency.
