Hi

I think we are talking about different opinions and needs of everyone; I
turn off my
computer every night/evening, when I went to watch TV or to bed.
There is no need for me to let it run the whole night and day, because,
I come home
at roundabout 4.00pm in the evening, switching it on, reading mails and
so on.
My uncle and my father use their systems as fax servers and so on and
the do not switch
them of, but they reboot their systems by crontab...

The intention of the first mail (starting this discussion) was to
exchange modules of
the kernel online and to insert them (insmod) during system being up.
But that won't work
because of the wrong version numbers (I think).

Greetings, Dietmar
