Oops, I meant APM, but I have an APC UPS and my acronyms got crossed.
IIRC, one should never enable APM in a 2.0.x SMP kernel; at best it does
nothing as "idle mode" is difficult to detect and at worst it crashes
the system. I'm not sure if this is still true in the 2.2.x series --
does anybody know for sure?
