1. Was the graphics (screensaver) minimalized under Windows? Otherwise it is
*not* a fair benchmark. (See Seti site.)
2. My numbers are quite different. Linux is faster than Windows (both 98 and
NT workstation), but not that much, either on a dual or single machine.
3. Not every seti file needs the same amount of CPU-time. At least so it
seems to be the case here. So comparison cannot be made easily. I've run
nearly 300 files and am still not able to give a statistically sound report.
Please let *us* keep things fair and not rejoice too soon :-)
