Hello,

I have a problem running linux on an SMP machine. The motherboard is a
Judgement Day C2P3 compact pci board with dual PIII 600 MHz processors.

The machine will boot using a uniprocessor kernel. It also boots with a
dual processor kernel (2.2.12) using the noapic command, however it only
detects a single processor. When booting the machine without the noapic
command (using an SMP kernel) , it locks up with errors messages related to
the IO-APIC.

I was wondering if you have any specific information regarding this
particular machine, or any general tips as to what may be causing this
condition.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Sincerely,

Damon Kuskie
