I've no loyalty to Debian. I'm just trying to enumerate the options for future readers who get here. Once I found out I had an A10s clone instead of an A10, my options were severely limited. My first round of searching got me to this forum where I appeared to have only the Fedora option. I later discovered the links above for an ubuntu option and a debian option. Sadly the debian option does not have working networking, so isn't much use. I can't use lubuntu. I'm not willing to learn all it takes to build my own working distribution. None of the existing lubuntu (or any flavor of ubuntu) installations will work with the Fedora uboot and uImage except for the melee lucid one. I'm just piecing parts together of which I have limited understanding. Most prebuilt SD images won't even boot (I tried 9 different varieties found on the web). Only the Fedora and OlinuXino images boot. On the two images that boot I then tried replacing the rootfs with each of the 9 different ones. Most crash on boot. melee ubuntu worked with the Fedora image and wheezy debian worked with the OlinuXino image. I'm just going to use the ubuntu 10.04 rootfs for now with the Fedora image and get on with my projects For which system did you want to see the ifconfig and dmesg, ubuntu or debian? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "linux-sunxi" group.
