I would guess because our NAND driver is a different version, and
Allwinner NAND FTL driver reformats the flash when it detect a version
mismatch.


But.. back on the topic of Livesuit. Looking at livesuit v306 from
cubieboard.ort the driver version differ significantly based on if your
distribution is dpkg or rpm based. For rpm distros it ships diver
version 0.4 but packaged with version 0.5 in the rpm version, and for
dpkg distros it ships driver version 0.5 packaged as version 0.5.

0.5 version attached.

But I never understood why there is a kernel driver at all for this.
libusb does the job nicely from userspace.
