FYI your 'kevin' branch works for spidf on cubieboard. I only needed to
patch the cubieboard dts as per your a1000 patch. nice work :)

I also tried your in-flight patches for spdif against current
sunxi-next (+ the cubie dts patch), but that didn't work for some
reason - all the modules loaded and dmesg and 'aplay -l' was the same,
and the player (mpd) was happy, but no sound was heard. it seemed the
player ran at about 1/3 real speed. odd.

are the i2s patches that are present in your 'kevin' tree required too,
or maybe it's something else that broke betwen rc1 and rc6?

a10 cpufreq seems busted in 4.5-rc6. maybe that's the problem.
