more information about BMPs

Hi
this is me again.
I've learned something more:
My picture's width is 90. As I said
it's not an odd number. I tried using 92, 91, 93, 90.
Nothing works properly, but 91 is very close. Strange.
In any description of BMP format there's nothing about
any alignment.
Does anybody know more ?
