Hi guys,
I've got a Eagle 4i 4GB/8GB Travan-4 IDE tape streamer here. For the last
few months I've been having problems with this particular unit with
IDE-TAPE. One of the symptons is VERY VERY slow verification of data
written onto the tapes. I've checked through the troubleshooting
datasheets that comes with the tape streamer but I still have no idea what
is wrong.
What does very slow readback of data indicates? (BRU indicates 6kb/s to
8kb/s) Has my tape hardware gone sick or something?
Writing out to the tape is typically normal, very fast though. Any ideas?
