Hi all,

I try to use a ditto 2GB tape drive together with a ditto dash
controller, ftape4.03 and kernel 2.0.33 but with little success. It is
build in at an Elitegroup P5HX-B mainboard with an AMD K5 133MHz.
I experienced a strange behavior of the tape drive. Sometimes I can
execute one or two commands like tar -cvf /dev/nqft0 /etc and ftmt -f
/dev/nqft0 rewind without error message. After that no further command
will work. I get the error message
"Read error on /dev/nqft0: I/O error" and and the message file looks as
appended.
Only after booting one or two commands work.
I tried different base addresses, irq and dma all with the same result

With Windows the tape runs without any error.

Did anyone see this behavior before?

Any advise is appreciated.
