Well, I set up my HP Colorado T3000 in my AlphaStation 200 4/233, and
with the 2/7 source snapshot and kernel version 2.2.1, the ftape driver
seems to work fine. I've backed up and restored files and used various
of the ftape-tools without any trouble. The insmod commands I used had
no arguments; here is the ouput of lsmod:
Module Size Used by
ftape-internal 17304 0
zftape 122360 -1
ftape 210400 0 [ftape-internal zftape]
In conclusion, Ftape seems to work fine on at least one Alpha!
