Thanks for your reply to my tape-list post. I'll go ahead and re-compile the kernel
with ftape support. I've d/l'd the v2.11a version from the ftape archive. One of the
nice things about Linux is how well it runs on "old" stuff ;)
I did have one quick question that maybe you can help me with. In the ftape-HOWTO
(v2.0) included with the Slackware distro, it mentions that the Ditto Insider 800
requires a length patch, to wit:
Iomega Ditto 800 Insider-
Work with Travan TR1, TR2, or DC2120 tapes
(<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>;). Requires the length patch.
Do you know where that patch can be had? I can't find it in the ftape-2.11a pkg or on
Heine's site.
