I was just given a TK86 (DLT2000 tape drive, a` la Digital Equipment Corp.) which I just might mount in a spare box and connect as another SCSI ID on my system. The reason is because I have nearly 14 years of text files on a TK50-K tape, in VMS format, that I'd like to get. I no longer have access to a VMS system. Does anyone know of a utility for Linux that could read the files on this VMS tape, and preferable translate them right into ASCII files? Thanks, Erick
