mt v. 5.0 contains a bug that trashes the command argument if any optional
argument (e.g., -f /dev/nst0) is used. You have several alternatives:
- get mt-st-0.5b
- define the environmet variable TAPE to be /dev/nst0 and you can
omit -f /dev/nst0 (and upgrade mt when you have more time :-)
- downgrade to mt-st-0.4
