I'm using a Seagate STT28000A-RFT.  It's an ATAPI drive, and holds 4G raw,
more compressed.  I'm using "tar czf" to back it up, which uses gzip for
compression.  It takes about 2 hours to back up 4G this way, and another
hour to verify.  The price is about US$180.  Check www.shopper.com for
Travan drives, the "Tapestor Hornet TR4 8GB INT IDE Tdkit." ATAPI support
can be compiled into the kernel to support this drive.
