Thank you so much for your quick response. I was able to successfully
compile ftape-4.x-1999_03_29.

Getting the drive to work is another story. Loaded modules ftape,
zftape, bpck-fdc via modprobe:

alias char-major-27 zftape
options ftape ft_fdc_driver=bpck-fdc,none,none,none
options bpck-fdc ft_fdc_parport=0,0,0,0

Got this in syslog:

 ftape_init @ 0xc481a13c.
 zftape for ftape v4.03-pre-3 03/28/99
 bpck-fdc.c: bpck_fdc_register @ 0xc484478c

Ftape-tool says: /dev/(n)qft<x>: Device not configured.

Can anyone give me a hint about how to get this working?
